6th Grade Class and Homework
Great Day!
I really enjoyed getting to know everyone and am looking forward to a great year!
We will spend the next few days getting to know each other and the classroom rules and procedures. Ask your kids about the point system and what they can earn!!
I sent home an about me page and a parent information sheet. Please fill out as much information as you can give me and return it with your child to school. I will use this website for communication as well as email and phone. I am a middle school parent myself so I know how important it is to communicate directly :)

1/19/17 - LA - Some kids were not ready for test, so we did some more review TEST WILL BE TOMORROW 1/20!!!!
1/27/17 - LA - rough Draft for Americanism Essay is due Monday 1/30 and final draft will be due Thursday 2/2
2/1/17 - LA - Final copies of the Americanism Essay are due TOMORROW 2/2. I need two printed copies one for me and one for the American Legion. Students also need to turn in their rough draft and outline paper with final copy.
2/6/17 - LA - Finish plural nouns packet if not finished in class
SS- began Chapter 2 review for test on Thursday 2/9
2/7/17 - SS - Finish chapter 2 outline for test on Thursday 2/9
LA- Nouns in nominative case - finish Ex. 4 if not done in class
2/8/17 - SS - Study for test tomorrow
2/27/17 - SS - took notes on chapter 3 for quiz tomorrow(will be able to use notes on quiz)
LA - Introduced immigration journal project due Friday March 10th students have requirements and rubrics
2/28/17 - SS - Quiz
LA - Began research for immigration journals
3/7/17 - SS - Chapter 4 Section 1 What is Culture? HW: Section review 2-4 (#1 if not completed in class)
LA - today we wrote letters to other students in class and practiced addressing envelopes.
3/13/17 - SS - Started chapter 4 section 3 - economic systems - used a glass of milk and the steps it goes through to get to them as an example for a economic system
LA - Started verbs! Took notes and found verbs in brain teasers and quotes HW: Ex. 1 Page 351 if not finished in class
3/22/17 - SS - Used Hershey kisses to show the three economic systems
LA - Verb tenses - Ex. 1 page 374 find verb and change it to show all three tenses
3/27/17 - SS - learned how to take cornell notes for chapter 4 section 4 HW: take cornell notes for chapter 4 section 1 and 2
LA - continued verb tenses took notes HW: finish wkbk pages 67 and 68 VERB TEST ON Wednesday 4/5!!
3/30/17 - SS - We finished notes on chapter 4 and the kids are making up their own quiz for sections 1, 2, and 4. Quiz must have 10 questions(5 T/F, 4 fill in the blank, 1 essay)
LA - Started on subject verb agreement and took notes. CW/HW Ex. 1 and 2 odds
4/4/17 - SS - Used a memory game to study chapter 4 vocab for quiz tomorrow
LA - Played review game for verb test tomorrow. STUDY!!!
5/23/17 - LA - FINAL ROLLER COASTER PROJECT IS DUE TOMORROW 5/24
5/23/17 - SS- Ancient Rome project due Thursday 5/25
